Exceptional Family Member Program

Firehouse Family Day – October 30 from 10 AM to 1 PM

The Dover Air Force Base Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is hosting its annual Firehouse Family Day for military families with special needs in October.  With the exception of last year, the event includes a resource fair which many Family SHADE members have participated in.  This year, our goal is to have approximately 25 exhibitors who provide advocacy, programs, support and non-medical services to individuals with special needs across the lifespan.  In addition, we are partnering with the Dover AFB School Liaison Office to offer a Child Find area at the event aimed at early intervention.  If your agency would like to participate as an exhibitor (no fee), or you have questions, please contact Sonya Dyer at sonya.dyer.1@us.af.mil for an exhibitor form.  Pre-pandemic, this event typically saw around 50 people, not including other exhibitors.
