PIC of DE: Educational Surrogate Parent (ESP) Training (Kent County) – February 4
Parent Information Center of DE presents Educational Surrogate Parent (ESP) Training for Community Volunteers
Do you possess teaching or education experience? Do you have working knowledge of the special education system? Or do you have familiarity with the child welfare system?
If so, becoming an Educational Surrogate Parent (ESP) may be just the right match for you!
A volunteer ESP advocates for appropriate special education services for a child in the foster care system. An ESP works closely with a school team, therefore, an ESP must feel comfortable working with educators and other professionals, and be available to volunteer during the school day.
Upcoming ESP Trainings are open to any community member interested in volunteering as an Educational Surrogate Parent (ESP).
