Virtual Walk for Autism – April 2020

Announcing The Virtual Walk for Autism!

Due to recent developments tied to the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID19) and the heightened risk for people with intellectual disabilities and the elderly, Autism DE is transitioning the Walk for Autism this year to become the Virtual Walk for Autism! This annual walk helps to raise funds to support their services throughout the state. Please consider joining them to make the Virtual Walk for Autism a huge success and continue the support of vital services.

What is the Virtual Walk for Autism?
Instead of coming together in Cape Henlopen State Park or Bellevue State Park to walk together as a community, in the Virtual Walk for Autism teams (or individuals) will walk on their own, in their communities, around their neighborhoods, in their homes or wherever they can. Walk for miles, walk for blocks, walk up and down stairs, or walk in place… Be creative, have fun, but also please be safe. Walkers will make videos and take pictures of their walk, post them on social media, and send them to Autism Delaware. They will share each independent walk and create one big video of the Virtual Walk for Autism to be shared at the end of April.
