In a survey conducted by Rodel and the Delaware Readiness Teams, more than 1,000 Delaware parents and caregivers shared their thoughts on COVID-19, including appraisals of the just-concluded spring semester, as well as their concerns about returning to classrooms in the fall. Parents weighed in on topics ranging from childcare to health screenings to economic stress. This webinar is intended for leaders at state and district/school level, child care providers, community organizations and service providers, employers and others looking for statewide insight from families, as well as a general audience of parents, parent leaders.

This non-scientific survey was distributed through email and social media between May 26 and June 22. Governor Carney’s initial Declaration of a State of Emergency was on March 12.

This webinar will:
1) Give insight into the perspective of parents, families, and caregivers about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and outlook for the future
2) Surface ideas and provide context on what’s needed to address the issues and concerns raised by Delaware parents in the survey
3) Help inform state policymaking, school reopening plans and policies, and other decisions about family supports
