Health Care Rights & Law

Insurance and healthcare providers cannot deny you services just because you or your child have a physical or mental disability. You have the right to physical access to a provider’s office or facility, medical equipment, extra time for visits, health information in a usable, accessible format and access to other medical services as you need them.

If you disagree with your health plan about what you need, you can file a complaint with your plan’s provider.

There are several Delaware organizations that can help you understand your rights and advocate for the services you need.
