Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware (CDS)

The Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware engages in projects that influence policy and practice and improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. One of the CDS units, the Transition, Education and Employment Model (TEEM), offers services, supports, and opportunities to enable young adults and adults with disabilities to develop the skills needed to increase the independence, gain employment, lead productive lives and participate in the community as adults. Employment services and postsecondary employment programs are included as well as a leadership development/recreational program. Other units within CDS administer programs that help people with disabilities and special health care needs lead healthier lives and provide training and technical assistance to teachers and other school personnel.
